Rodney Leon Douglass, 64, retired TSgt., USAF, and Veteran of 23 years, passed away August 8, 2010, losing a courageous 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Viewing and visitation, 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E. Central. Services 9 a.m., Friday, Sunnyside Baptist Church, 2618 E. Morris.

Interment with full military honors to follow at 11:30 a.m., Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Winfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lura and Jim Douglass; daughter, Brenda Sue Douglass; sister, Cheryl Horn; and brother, Terry Lynn Douglass. Survived by the love of his life for 25 years, Mary Jo; children, Pamela (Shawn) Stubblefield of Canyon Lake, TX.; Robert (Denise) Douglass of Colorado Springs, CO.; step-children, Scott (Alexis) Reek of Neenah, WI; Angela Gitchel (fiance, Rob Crider) of Pikeville, KY.; grandchildren, Lura, Caudel, Leah, Ashley, and Marian; brother-in-law, Chuck (Mary) Horn of McPherson; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in his name with Southern Care Hospice, 301 N. Main, Wichita, KS 67202; and Sunnyside Baptist Church, 2618 E. Morris, Wichita, KS 67211.
